The work started on 12/ to dig down 5 feet below the footprint of the new house. The team then packed and leveled the dirt back into the hole. It looked like a big swimming pool hole for awhile. Luckily no animals or cars ended up falling in the hole accidentally. The recent rain has slowed the process a bit and made our driveway a mess. But we need the rain so cestlavie !
The old garage is gone
We needed to tear down the existing garage on the property in order to relocate the driveway where the garage was. The new house footprint will be on top of the old driveway.
It was an emotional destruction of the Phoenix that Bobbi painted on the garage, but after a couple days she decided to see the positive...which was clear 360 degree views from the top of Phoenix Rising.
The Phoenix will rise again from the destruction and construction...we have a plan for a new Phoenix Structure. We are not sharing the details yet, but it will be a focal point to our entry way.
We are official!!!
Permit is in hand. Thanks to Aaron Gannage for designing the plans and facilitating the Permit Approval process. We started the submittal of the plans in December of 2021 and after 2 resubmissions the process was complete, and our permit was issued. Now it gets real!
Bill is the project manager and Bobbi is the creative director. They are making decisions on appliances, windows, doors, roofing etc.
This was our official announcement of our big plans. Bill announced in his wedding vows that we will build a vacation rental on the property. Maybe our 5 Year Anniversary will be the opening celebration. Follow us to see if we make this happen.
